Between opening gifts, cooking breakfast and dinner, and enjoying my family’s company, I didn’t snap as many photos as I planned. But, I will share the ones I managed to take into between all the joyful chaos.
Every Christmas, my mother-in-law creates Santa faces for one present for each of us. It’s always our “big” present. This year, she also created an elf package to go along with my husband’s Santa package:
Because there were six of us and we open gifts one at a time, it took most of the day just to get through them all. It was a lot of fun and made the day more exciting. Instead of tearing into the gifts, we get to watch the reaction of each person when they’re opening. I love that tradition and hope to continue it when my husband and I have children.
I glittered these pears to use as our centerpiece at the dining room table. Everyone loved them:
I like opening 1 present at a time too. Seeing people’s reactions is the best part! Those Santa faces are adorable.
