Date #2: Homemade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

IceCream10

We are such homebodies. We consider making vegan ice cream together a pretty perfect date.

We set up an ice cream “bar” with lots of fun toppings including slivered almonds, chopped pecans, chocolate chips, and three different types of sprinkles. And, we followed the vanilla bean ice cream recipe out of our newest cookbook, Great Gluten-Free Vegan Eats. That’s the only recipe we’ve tested out of that cookbook so far, but if they all turn out as yummy, then it will quickly become one of our favorites.

I love sprinkles, and my man loves chocolate chips and nuts. Perfect pair!

I love vegan and raw food ice cream. So divine! I definitely think I could give up “real” ice cream for things like coconut milk based ice cream and other things.

Oh yes! I don’t even miss real ice cream. Real cheese? That’s another story. :)

Vegan ice cream is one of my weaknesses. I can’t have it in the house because I’ll eat it all in under 2 days, especially if it’s chocolate. Your sundaes look delicious…like a perfectly matched pair. :)
