I’ve eaten about six donuts in the past three years, and the only time I ate them was when we traveled to New York. There’s the most delicious vegan and gluten-free bakery, Baby Cakes, in SoHo and we always stop by during our New York trips.
My husband {Kris} and I finally made our own on Christmas morning!
Kris begged me for a donut pan ever since my mother-in-law bought us this wonderful cookbook. Yep, it’s written by Baby Cakes.
I bought him the donut pan and gave it to him on Christmas Eve, so we could make a batch of donuts for our family the next morning. They were soooooooooooooo good. I mean sooooooo good.
I’m not going to share the recipe here, because it’s not our recipe. But, I highly recommend that you pick up that cookbook if you’re hankering for a vegan, gluten-free donut.












I visited Portland, OR over the summer, and I visited the most amazing donut shop, Voodoo Donuts. They have all kinds of donuts including vegan ones. I hadn’t eaten a donut in more than 20 years, and they were freakin’ amazing! I ate there 3 times in 2 days. I’m still looking for vegan donuts back home…not that I need to be eating donuts all the time!
