If you haven’t noticed by now, I get excited over the small things–NARS lipgloss, pink plaid pajama pants and yarn. I also get excited every time I go outside, because I see our large woodpile that we use to heat the house most of the time in the winter. I’m thankful for our wood-burning stove and that I get to hear it crackling as I work at home.

What about you? Got any favorite little things for this cold season?

That adds a bit of luxuriousness to the wintertime, doesn’t it?
Cooking! The small apartment we moved to in Minneapolis (from Kentucky!) has stayed so warm and cozy and fragrant with my partners delicious, daily cooking.
Oh, good one!
Soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, big comfy fleece shirts, hot chocolate with whip cream in a favorite mug handmade by a sweet friend in Maine, and snuggling under the blankets with my dog Baxter.
We had {vegan} grilled cheese sandwiches and soup for lunch one day this past week and it was delicious!
My steaming ginornous cuppa gourmet coffee!

I’m not a coffee drinker–my husband is and when he makes it in the morning, it makes the house smell yummy!

Oh…I love doggie cuddling!
It doesn’t get too cold here (thank goodness!) but I still love a mug of vegan hot chocolate…and snuggling with my puppy on the couch.

Jealous…I’d much rather have sunny, warm weather.
