You probably know by now that I run a membership program for creative entrepreneurs called Sunday Society.
(Unless you’re new…and in that case, haaaaaaaay girl, I’m April and I run a membership program to give women a place to encourage and support each other while building their businesses.)
I mention Sunday Society in blog posts and on social media often, but I thought it would be helpful to walk you through a month within the program to give you an idea of what it’s really like.
Let’s start with this visual that I created to summarize last month.
1. Every month, we have a monthly challenge.
The purpose of the monthly challenge is to work on an activity together throughout the month.
Last month, each member picked a high-leverage task to work on (such as writing a month of blog posts or developing a sales funnel) for 15-60 minutes at the start of their workday. After they worked on their projects, they came into the Facebook group to check in and let us know what they accomplished. This kept everyone accountable.
This month, we’re working on photography. I’ve hired two photographers to mentor the members so they end the month with beautiful photos of their products and for their blog posts and social media.
2. We have two to five live calls each month.
In March, we had four live calls.
First, we had a Q&A call. I stay on the call until I answer every question during a Q&A call and members can ask anything related to business.
Second, we had a topic specific call which means that we talk about one topic and I answer questions on that topic only. I usually teach for about 30 minutes and then answer questions on those types of calls. Setting up systems within your business was the topic we concentrated on in March. I started by covering: the three reasons you set up a system, the most important part of each system, examples of systems in my business and the 8 must-have systems I think every creative entrepreneur should have in their businesses.
Third, we had a project day that included an entire day of working together along with three live calls: a kickoff call, a dance party/check in and a wrap up call. We spent close to 3 hours on calls that day.
Fourth, we had a feedback call. During these calls, members have the chance to join me on video to get feedback from me and the group on an area of their businesses. We had members ask for feedback on their website designs, logo designs, names and taglines and where to put testimonials.
The live calls are one of the biggest components of Sunday Society. Think group coaching for a very budget-friendly price.
3. Engagement in the Facebook group.
Most membership programs include a private Facebook group or forum, but I’ve never seen one with this much engagement that doesn’t revolve around marketing and promoting your products.
I would show you some of the helpful conversations but I can’t without compromising the members’ privacy.
In March, members checked in every single day to share what they got done on their projects. On Mondays, members share their goals for the week and then check back in on Fridays to let everyone know how they did. On Tuesdays, members answer a quirky question (like whether you’re a night owl or morning bird) to get to know each other in a non-business way. Each Wednesday, we chat about the monthly challenge in the Facebook group and on Thursdays, we have a cross promo day.
Cross promo day gives members the opportunity to ask the group to help them promote something–a blog post, an interview, a landing page, a product, a service, etc.
That’s an overview of the main things that happened in March.

Months ago, I decided that once we hit 150 members I would raise the price. We’re 35 members away from the price increasing from $29/month to $49/month (all members who join at the $29/month price will stay at that price throughout the lifetime of their memberships). The biggest reason for the raise in price is that you get access to all of the past live calls (more than 50 hours of content), monthly challenges (including the workbooks and instructional videos) and bonuses.
