It’s nice to hear thanks.
Why don’t we say it more often? I’ve found that I tell people in my offline life that I’m grateful for them much more than I tell the people in my online life—even though many people in my online life have made huge differences for me in my life and my business.
So, I decided to take today to say thank to some of the people in my online life who’ve touched me in 2010.
Thank you to…
My readers for caring about the stuff I write, leaving me comments, sending me emails, and helping others in the creative community.
Mayi Carles for supporting Blacksburg Belle, working with me on collaborative projects, and being uplifting all the damn time.
Srini Rao for choosing me for a free consultation, giving me kickass advice, and supporting me through the beginning of my blog.
Marie Forleo for giving me the opportunity to attend Rich, Happy, and Hot Live. The information I learned and people I met have stuck with me, and I’ll always be grateful for that experience.
Laura Roeder for making out-freaking-standing and affordable programs for small businesses. I could not have built my website or blog without your courses, and your creating fame course rocked my world.
Irene Zuccarello for jumping on board with a collaborative project when you were already crazy busy, asking me to contribute to Imaginative Bloom, and being extremely kind.
Tara Gentile and Megan Auman for building a supportive community for creative entrepreneurs, answering questions on The Creative Empire forums, and giving me product launch tips.
Danielle Maveal {aka Daniellexo from Etsy} for promoting my posts on Etsy, so they can spread to many more creative entrepreneurs beyond my reach. Your support has helped me get my big idea out there and connect with some amazingly talented artists and crafters.
This post is so sweet April. I’m honored to be included in your “Thanks to” list.
I can only thank you back for all the great posts you share everyday with us – all your work, your effort and passion shine through them.
Thanks for all the support, the collaboration and the precious friendship that’s growing day by day on our creative journey.
For me it’s always a pleasure and I will never stop to support and encourage your work as well as wish you all the best for your dreams.
Thanks Irene! I’m so glad you’re a part of my online world 🙂
The world would indeed be an ever-so much more pleasant place to live, if we were all as quick with our thanks, as we are with our criticism. Thanks for a great post as always!
Kat
So true Kathy–and thanks for the kind words!
Very lovely post, indeed. It’s ironic that you should have put this out today because I decided to bring my gratitude journal (yes, I’m doing an Oprah!) to write down all the great things that happened to me on a daily basis thanks to the kindness of supportive people. It helps keep things in perspective and reminds us that our successes are often the result of people willing to help and give us a chance.
Hey Jaimee,
Whenever I’m going through a rough time, I write down five things I’m grateful for and post it somewhere I’ll see it regularly. It definitely helps to keep me focused on what’s important. I love the idea of a gratitude journal 🙂
What lovely comments @Kathy and @Jaimee. And you’re so right!
What a great post April! It must be so comforting and reassuring to know you have so many people behind you, helping you, and supporting you along the way! What a blessing!
Hey Meagan,
It’s definitely amazing the relationships you can make online through blogging/social media/group coaching/consulting–I definitely feel very blessed. Thanks for stopping by to comment 🙂
