Hi April – was just telling my husband this morning my “plans” for my biz for the next 3 months – and boy did it feel good! I haven’t done much with my business for the past year since I started… because ‘i have kids, i have a job, the economy sucks, etc…” And now i’m gung-ho – have a plan and can envision where I want to be by April.
Thanks for the great post – that’s exactly where i was and don’t want to be again =)

The area that came to mind where I’ve been making excuses is actually my lifestyle and daily routine. I live with a man who I love dearly – but our daily routines do not always mesh well. He likes to watch TV in bed at night, I prefer to read – in peaceful quiet. That’s just one example. And I’ve been making excuses, saying that I can’t have things the way I want, because he’s there with the TV on, or because he’s doing this or that.
The truth is, I can find ways around all of those things. I can create my own inspirational space where I can go to get away from the noise of the TV. I can go to bed a bit later when he’s done watching TV. There are always other options and choices that I can make to nurture what I really want in my life. 🙂
I was laughing as I read your comment. Not because I’m a mean–haha–suffer kinda person. But, because my husband and I are the same way. He likes to watch tv in bed and I like to read. I’ve become a master at tuning out the television…but I could definitely go another way like you described above.
It’s funny how we look at a situation and make excuses instead of saying, “What am I in control of? How can I change it?” I think we all struggle with it!
heehee! Funny how these things are more common than we tend to think, huh? 😉 Nice to know that I’m not alone on this! 🙂
Yes, it’s so easy – and almost automatic – to make excuses. I find it takes some conscious awareness to notice it and start to change that mindset, because it’s so ingrained. 😉

Hey Dana! That sounds fan-freaking-tastic!!! I’m so glad you’re headed in the right direction.
I’ve also found that sharing my goals with my husband/family/friends really helps me take action.
Hi April!
This is a great video, such an important message!

Thank you for this reminder! 😀

Thank you! Entrepreneurs simply must say, “the buck stops here.” Take responsibility and move forward.
