You need to be using testimonials. They give your products a level of social proof that will help you increase sales.
Do you want to do something a little more fun than email your customers asking if they wouldn’t mind sending you a short testimonial? If so, you should check out the video above. Make it fun!
I love collecting testimonials! This would be fun! I recently emailed a customer who I did a custom piece for as asked if they would allow me to use the picture they had sent me (just as a thank you to me, not because I asked for it) on my website but they never wrote back – and It was a super adorable picture of the guy’s wife crying (yes, crying) when she opened the piece as a gift on christmas morning! Must get permission! Too cute! Thanks for the great idea April!
I hope you hear back from that person! That would be such a good pic to use 🙂
totally doing this! thanks girl!
Yay! Let me know how it goes 🙂
Great tip- thanks! Filing away for future use when I actually make some sales & get my biz up & running.
Wonderful idea April! Except the few sales I have made, none of them are “followers” online. So I guess I have to wait until I have more sales:)
That is such a great idea! And a funny one!
April, I entered my little ole business (blog) in a contest and was one of the winners. Today, I received a copy of the press release and realized that the contest was great marketing for the HOST of the contest! The press release is not only about my business with testimonials but is peppered with mentions of the contest host as well.
April, I think this is a really good idea. I think that offering an incentive is a great way to not only motivate them to send in a testimonial but also come back and spend more money. It’s so simple too, and it isn’t so invasive that you bother customers.
Hearing some testimonials to other people is such a very nice to me because it will help you to become a better person ever.
