It feels like eighty-seven million degrees in Panama. Don’t even get me started on the humidity.
I knew it was going to be hot and humid, but I didn’t wrap my mind around the fact that the moment I stepped outside, I’d feel like every inch of my body was sweating.
This was especially distracting while I was trying to remember my lines while working with a professional video team when we had to tape without air conditioning at one location. It’s hard to remember what the heck you’re supposed to say while sweat is beading on your forehead.
Thankfully, we took breaks in the air conditioning in between takes. When you’re uncomfortable, your productivity slows down to a crawl, because your mind is distracted. Watch today’s video to see how the comfortability factor plays a huge role in your output.
Start paying close attention to the signals that your body is giving you throughout the day and DO SOMETHING about them, so you’re not distracted.
If you’re cold, put on a sweater. If you’re dehydrated, get some water and start sipping on it. Don’t wait for an hour to pass before taking action, because you’ll be preoccupied for that entire hour.
