Last year, I thought about doing a 365-day project.
I considered taking a picture or creating something new each day, but I felt as if I was still finding my footing with Blacksburg Belle. I decided not to add anything to my to-do list that would make me feel more overwhelmed.
So, I told myself that I’d do it the next year, and here we are in the next year.
For the past month, I considered different ideas. 365 recipes. 365 DIY projects. 365 pictures of daily life.
All of those ideas excited me, but I didn’t want to limit myself. That’s why I’ve chosen to publish one blog post each day for 365 days. Some posts will be recipes. Others will be DIY projects or photos. And, of course, some will be business-related like Wednesday Wisdom videos.
I can’t wait to see what comes from posting every day throughout this year. I’m excited to share more creativity with you, and I hope you enjoy following along.
How about you? Are you doing a challenge like this? Are you starting something new for 2013? I’d love to hear about it.
Wow that’s quite a challenge! Can’t wait to see what great post ideas you come up with! 🙂
Thanks Sarah!
Wow that’s a lofty goal, but I know you can do it. Your enthusiasm for blogging is amazing and contagious.
I am starting a little smaller, with Scoutie Girls 52 Weeks of Blogging your Passion. I started last year and somehow lost momentum. Here’s to new beginnings and better follow through!

I’m ready! I intentionally posted a lot in December to make sure I could do it. The test run made me confident in the goal of posting once a day for 365 days.
That’s a great goal! You have to start where you are, right?
Ooh I love this idea. Look forward to seeing it all unfold.

Yay! Thanks Julia!
Me too April. I launched a 365 project today. I was so scared to make the commitment, but I am more excited! Feel free to connect with me and keep each other going. I will be following. Happy New Year & Cheers to our 365 projects.
I’m excited for you, Patti! From others who have done these projects, I’ve learned that it can create HUGE shifts, and I’m excited to see what this brings me.
I need to commit to something like this too or I’ll never get my blog published. Can you believe that I’ve had a blog designed and virtually ready to go for 2 years and I’ve never made it public! That’s how much my fear paralyzes me. I’m re-reading Twyla Tharp’s Creative Habit to work out those fears.
Love what you’ve posted already!
Love that book! Maybe start with something realistic like posting once a week or twice a month. And, my advice is just start NOW even though it’s scary. Once you do, you’ll probably realize that it isn’t that scary after all.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this big project. I’m holding off on something big. I thought about doing a 31 day series on Growing Up Herbal, but of course backed out of it. I have sooooo many ideas for things I want to do… I just don’t settle on one. Time is obviously a big issues for me. The shop is getting busier, and my goals this year are to grow my community and put homeschooling the boys first… and those things take time. So I’ve decided not to go for big blog goals like the 31 day series and just stick with what I’m doing… making it the best I can. Anyway… can’t wait to check out and try some of your new recipes! I love trying to incorporate more vegetarian recipes into our diets!
Thanks Meagan! I completely understand. In past years, it wasn’t right for me, but this year I think it’s doable even though it means adding something BIG to my to-do list. I hope you enjoy following along and let me know if you try an recipes. I’d love to hear what you think!
I am planning to do the same. I have two blogs both are for very different worlds, one is for creatives and the other for starter pioneer women getting back to land and basics, but I live in both worlds at the same time. Trying to somehow include more of my life in them both so I am challenging myself to write a blog post a day for the Housewife to Hunter blog and then for the creative blog document my journey on creating crochet patterns. ** so glad you started including more of your personal life on the blog and your recipes can’t wait to read more.
That sounds really exciting, Tehlia! Good luck with everything.
I’m impressed! I was considering doing NaBloPoMo, but writing everyday for a month seemed too daunting, but since I got a new camera for my birthday new year which I’m still learning more about everyday I decided to do the 365project. Good luck on your goal!
Good luck with your 365 blog post goal April! Last year I turned 40 on January 9th. (Yup, that’s right…that means in 5 days I’ll be 41!!!!) I’m a scrapbooker and decided document the year I was 40 by finally participating in Project Life and taking one picture every day for the whole year. I did it!! (Give or take a few days. 😉 ) and now I have a whole book documenting my year. It was a great feeling to finish it off!
I know you can do it! Something I’ve always wanted to do is write a book. Maybe this year I will dedicate myself to writing one page a day. That’s a lot of pages by the end of the year!
🙂
Thanks Dana! Oh, that sounds so great being able to look back at all the pictures! And, happy birthday lady!!! I hope you’ve got something fun planned.
Good luck with your 365 days of blogging! And enjoy it!
I’ve started a 365 day project at October 1st last year.
I’m taking a picture everyday, of something I saw or did, and post it on my blog.
I love doing it and it gets you thinking about your day, what was special.
