I don’t like smoothies that taste like veggies, but I love finding ways to sneak more into my daily eating habits. From experimenting, I’ve found that if you add some leafy greens to your fruit smoothie, you won’t even notice. Pinky promise. The color isn’t beautiful, but it’s filling, tastes good, and is good for you. Check, check, and check.
Ingredients for Two:
handful of ice cubes
2/3 cup of almond milk
handful of strawberries
one banana, sliced or broken up into chunks with your hands
handful of baby spinach leaves
a teaspoon of agave {You can use more–but be careful because it’s really sweet. Taste before adding more.}
Directions:
Add all ingredients to your blender and blend.
Tip: After you’ve poured your smoothies into cups, add a tiny bit of dish soap and two cups of water to your blender and blend on low for ten or fifteen seconds. This will help you clean your blender easily–and it grabs up all those little bits of fruit and veggies still in the blender.
Yummy, yummy! It’s a delicious and healthy mix
I invite you to participate this month in our cooking photography blog called Cocina Global.
Will be nice to see you there with this strawberry recipe 🙂 Write me!
