While in Richmond last weekend, we went flea market shopping which is high on my list of favorite things to do. I love to rummage through boxes of vintage jewelry, books, and antiques. I picked up quite a nice haul including four vintage cameras, a couple of milk glass containers, a vintage lantern, and some necklaces that I plan to take apart for the beads.

[…] pictures are a collection of some stuff my mom gave me and some stuff we picked up at the flea market when we visited Richmond a couple weekends […]
That sounds like a great haul, I love vintage cameras ~ will you use them? I’m dying to get back out there and visit some local fairs but it’s been a bit too cold for me so far for the early morning UK ones. There’s a local all day flea this weekend so having seen your photos, I might treat myself to a trip there. Thanks for inspiring me!

I don’t use them. I have a shelf in my home that my father-in-law made for me {it’s pretty big} and I display them on it. I love photography, so it’s the perfect collection for me. 🙂
Sounds great! i don’t use mine either. Well unless you count as props in my product photos 😉

Me, too! 🙂
I like the mickey mouse watch, I have several of those that I’ve collected through the years.
That’s a fun collection! 🙂
Looks like lots of great stuff! Maybe I need to grab my mother-in-law and hit a flea market around here!
Do it…it’s so much fun!
American flea markets have so much cool stuff! Love the necklaces to repurpose. The market that specializes in this type of thing near me charges $10 just to get in the gate 😉
Oh wow! The one I went to charged $1.50 for people and $2 for dogs…hahahahaha! 🙂
$2 for dogs? What on earth is that about?
Isn’t that so crazy? Lots of people bring their dogs. I had no idea that it cost more than a person’s admission until I checked it out this past weekend.
Mickey Mouse! I love it when people find something totally random and weird at a flea market or thrift shop and make it into something completely new.
What’s the coolest or weirdest thing you’ve gotten from a flea market?
Oh gosh…that’s a tough one. I pick up lots of little random things to use in jewelry. I don’t know if most of the stuff I get qualifies as weird. My mom picked up an old bar cart for me that my husband and I are giving a makeover…it’ll be a post coming up! 🙂
