Knitting is like a really good old friend. I can set it aside for months, but when I pick it back up, it’s like I never put it down.
This is my first lace knitting project, and now that I’ve gotten the hang of it, I’m really enjoying it.
At first, I was using a yarn that wasn’t right for the project. When I switched yarns, it started going a lot smoother. In the beginning, I had to take it apart four times, but the fifth time seems to be the charm.
So pretty! I love the color! I’m currently rebuilding the massive website at my day job using WordPress Multisite. I’ve never used MultiSite before or built a site so large in WP and I’m learning a lot about organizing a giant maze of pages into something easy to navigate for a ton of different user groups. Challenging, but fun!
Thanks! That does sound really challenging! I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Learning a new skill can be a lot of fun.
That yarn is beautiful! 🙂
Thanks Lindsey!
Gorgeous! I’ve never knit lace before.
This week I’m working on my biggest custom hoop art yet + creating a new website (using WP, of course 🙂
That sounds exciting! Good luck!
Hi April
I am working on some aprons for a market at the end of the month and also plan to sew some book-bunting this weekend.
What sort of yarn is this? It’s so pretty.
Sounds fun! I’m not quite sure. All I know is that it’s fingering yarn that’s partly cotton. I put the tag somewhere “safe” and now I’m not sure where that “safe” place is! I hate when that happens. 🙂
The colors are gorgeous! I haven’t picked up my knitting needles in well over a year (maybe even 2?), but this fall I intend to (try to) knit a sweater for my baby who is due in November 🙂 Otherwise I’m working on lots and lots of jewelry for my upcoming shows and holiday season!
Thanks Bev! Congrats on the baby! Good luck on creating lots of amazing jewelry and having a super successful holiday season.
That looks lovely!
Also love the colors of the yarn, very pretty.
I’m currently crocheting some coasters, they’re getting really pretty.
Thanks! I’ve tried crochet a couple times and I just can’t get the hang of it–crocheting into the chain is where I mess things up. But, I love crocheted stuff!
