Sneak Peek Into Sunday Society (Plus a Free Training!)

- February 1, 2017 | by April -

I struggle to describe my membership program, Sunday Society.

As a business consultant, I’m not supposed to admit this.

I’m supposed to act like I know everything and can do anything including writing a sales page, baking a batch of delicious gluten-free, vegan brownies and dancing like Beyonce while cleaning the kitchen all within three hours. But, I’m human (and probably would be a back up dancer for Bruno Mars if I had those kinds of skills)!

One of the main reasons I get stuck in the sludge of explaining my membership program is that Sunday Society encompasses a lot:

  • one of the most active FB groups I’ve ever been a part of
  • 2 to 5 live calls a month that last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours because I don’t leave the calls until I’ve answered every question
  • a group coaching feel within the Q&A and feedback calls
  • accountability check ins
  • monthly challenges
  • and more

Try describing that in a few paragraphs. Double dog dare you.

“What I love most is the sense of community, even though we are spread out all over the map. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging, and always willing to provide feedback and advice. That’s especially helpful for someone like me, who is just beginning to develop a business and an online presence.” -Charmaine Boggs

Instead of trying to explain the monthly challenges, I thought I’d give you a sneak peek.

Today we started a monthly challenge that will help the members rewrite their ‘welcome emails’ that their new subscribers receive once they opt in.

That first email that new subscribers get is crucial. It’s your first impression and if you get it right, it’ll make those new subscribers want to open every email they get from you.

Throughout the month in Sunday Society, we’ll be doing specific, bite-sized exercises to rewrite those welcome emails.

In the first module, I help the members focus on what they want new subscribers to do and six changes they can make to improve their welcome emails (see module below).

In upcoming modules, we’ll cover writing a click-worthy subject line, writing a first sentence that captivates the subscriber’s attention, simplifying the email copy so that the subscriber focuses on what’s most important and more.

Today, I’m pulling back the velvet curtains to show you what the first module of this month’s challenge actually looks like. I hope this helps you see what it’s like within Sunday Society. The monthly challenges are just one component, but it’s my second favorite part of the program (after the live calls).

After watching the first module for this month’s challenge, if you feel like you could benefit from our group, come join the party. We’d love to have you.

“April has a wonderful combination of expertise and insight into the challenges of running a creative business. Sunday Society provides a rich combination of practical education, gorgeous useful downloadable tools, enough structure to keep me accountable, and an engaged and supportive community.” -Janet Taylor
