Giveaway: The End of Boring (Ended)

- October 25, 2017 | by April -

Have you ever seen someone cut off unicorn hair while wearing jewels on her face in a sales video? Or fall asleep on a typewriter in a magical forest?

Neither had I until five days ago.

Before you click back to your super boring inbox because you think I must be talking about something that’s way too space agey or crystal magic for you, let me assure you that I’m not.

I wish I could set off some fireworks right now…but just imagine that I’m holding sparklers and waving them right next to you. Got that image in your head? Okay, keep reading.

Let me introduce you to someone who inspires me daily.

She will teach you how to be original. For real. Not how some people say they will but they really don’t. She’s the REAL DEAL. Well, I don’t need to convince you. Just watch the short video below and you’ll know what I mean. You’ll want to be her best friend immediately but that spot is currently filled, and I will fight you if you try to take it.

Her name is Mayi Carles. And her master class is The End of Boring.

(this image belongs to the lovely Mayi Carles)

Because I believe in this tiny artist with a t-rex heart with every cell in my body, I emailed her as soon as I bought my ticket to her program (which happened to be on her 35th birthday), got inside and looked around to ask her if I could do a giveaway for one scholarship to her master class.

From the title of this blog post, you can guess that she said YES!

Even though a golden ticket to The End of Boring is worth jumping through several hoops, I’m going to make this easy on you.

Here’s How You Enter:

If you want to enter to win a spot inside this course, all you need to do is comment below with the number one reason you want to join The End of Boring. What do you think it’ll do for you and your business?

Leave your comment before Friday, October 27th at 3pm EST.

The winner is: AMANTHA!!! Congrats Amantha and THANK YOU to everyone who entered and helped spread the word about The End of Boring. I wish I could give it away to all of you!

Amantha: We’ll be in touch soon to get you set up. Look out for that email.

Just a customer review: I just joined The End of Boring a few days ago and it’s stunning. Already familiar with Mayi’s messages and style, I am finding this particular program to take me deeper into the exploration of self, business, authenticity, and most important – fearlessness to be not boring. I’m so glad April and Mayi are offering this opportunity through a giveaway! Good luck everyone!

I just came in from cleaning my little studio in our woods. It was so nice to just BE there. I haven’t done anything creative for almost a year now because we have been working hard on remodeling an old house. I would love to have some new ideas come to life instead of rehashing the old ones. My husband and I have done a lot of weed pulling lately and that doesn’t lend anything to a life except boring! It would be wonderful to interact with some other creatives!

I really need this course. There is a crazy volcano of wildness inside me and it has been churning and churning. I had pushed it very very far down inside me and that has made me unhappy and confused. Over the past year I have been standing right on the edge of diving in to my full weirdness and letting my freak flag fly – everyone who knows me IRL tells me that I ought to just go whole-hog into being myself online. I have tried to do little videos and try to be silly and fun on IG – but I am AFRAID. I get shy and pull back – this class could be the thing to push me off of the edge and into a bright new world – a more colorful and vibrant business full of excitement and authenticity.

I shared on Twitter and FB

Thank you for sharing the class – I’m so glad to “meet” Mayi.

I knew that The End of Boring master class would help me (and in turn my business, naturally) because I immediately felt more connected to my (higher-)self and a tremendous boost of confidence and energy after simply having watched Mayi’s short (super cool) video. It really resonated with me.

While I fear I may often come across as boring because I sometimes feel that way about myself, I still believe there is depth and insight, creativity and even humor in me that would love to live amidst spring flowers and autumn leaves. I want to work hard, and make a difference, and bring beauty somehow into this world—all with a sense of peace, freedom, and purpose.
The End of Boring sounds like an out-of-the-box fit, and it seems just right.

Even though I’ve come so far with my business (I even thought at first “I don’t need this, I have a brand that totally wins at being uniquely me!”), as I watched this sales video, I realized that’s a lie.

I’ve been telling myself that what I am creating is 100% authentic to every aspect of myself, but in reality, there are parts of myself that I still hold back. It’s like that middle school dance all over again, where inside you just want to dance like a crazy person, but on the outside you stay on the fringes of the preteen crowd, worried someone might think your moves are stupid.

If I’m going to be 100% proud of the business and life I have created for myself, I need to bring 100% of myself to the table.

So even though I didn’t at first think I needed this class, this is my confession: I’d love to win a seat to the table, with all of who I am.

P.S. I shared on Facebook and my Instagram story!

I would love to win “The End of Boring” so I can learn and experience how to let the world know who I really am. Most people I know (even family) don’t have a clue or ask what I really do in my work. I look pretty conservative and to fit into my community, I am an artist. But really I am a Qigong healer, intuitive and work with Angels. I love creating healing art. I need to let that creative, fun, intuitive side out and feel comfortable with it. I need help doing this so I can earn a living being me. I have an inner weirdo ready to come out. I LOVED the video! I am happy for this opportunity! I want to end the boring side of me.

April you are so generous. I would love to win this. Mayi has such a talent for being her unique self and I love it. I feel like this is definitely something that would help me gain the confidence to be myself online and in my business. To maybe even start creating book review videos (which I have wanted to do for ages but keep telling myself that videos are just not for me). To be vulnerable and to take the risk and better myself.

My art website is so boring that I don’t even want to read it! I have been doing a lot of creative work, but haven’t figured out how to overcome my fear of video, FB live, and IG live to share what I do with more than photos. I am a total Introvert/Obliger (just learned that bit about Obligers after listening to the replay of Tuesday’s Sunday Society call) who prefers to hibernate with my paints and jewelry making supplies over getting out there and sharing it with the world. Mayi’s energy is so charmingly inspiring and I would love it if just a little bit of her unicorn hair infused fairy dust could be sprinkled in my direction!
I’ve tweeted, pinned, and shared on my Facebook business pages…and heading to IG next. Thanks for the opportunity, April and Mayi!

So why is that when I think about infusing that personality into my business I seem to flatline? I get all rigid and formal and start using big words. Ugh! How do I get out of this rut? Mayi has created an incredible experience where every sense is heightened. This is one of her superpowers; she can reach through the screen and ignite that fire inside you.
