Giveaway: The End of Boring (GIVEAWAY CLOSED)

- October 26, 2018 | by April -

Only one person could inspire me to wear a crown of butterflies, a host of temporary tattoos and a witch-like outfit for a photoshoot.

(Spoiler: I liked it.)

Her name is Mayi Carles and when anyone describes her they use words like: entertaining, hilarious, smart, playful, cute, artistic, weird, imaginative, beautiful and witty.

You know what word they never use when describing Mayi or her brand?

Boring.

Hang out with Mayi and you’ll feel like you can conquer the world. Spend time scrolling through her Instagram account and you’ll laugh and smile and want to create something amazing of your own. Watch videos on her blog and you’ll spit out your coffee from laughter and you’ll feel like Beyonce dancing with her during her outtakes and you’ll learn how to run a successful business during it all.

But, you won’t be bored. You’ll never be bored.

One of Mayi’s greatest superpowers is that she can pull the extraordinary out of others.

She uses this superpower for good by teaching people how to make their brands distinct. Once a year, she opens her program, The End of Boring which is a master class on how to make a living by being yourself.

It includes 7 video lessons, missions, hand-crafted funsheets, office hours, a members-only space and a medal of honor upon graduation. The lessons range from choosing originality to finding your weirdos to the art of making money.

(video provided by the lovely Mayi Carles)

You can find out much more about The End of Boring right here but before you click that link, you need to keep reading…seriously…it’s worth it!

We’re both lucky this year.

I’m lucky because I get to work with all the women (hey, girl haaaaaaay!) who enroll for The End of Boring this year through a lesson I’m teaching all about ending boring content. (Say goodbye to dull blog posts and emails and social media posts FOREVER!)

You’re lucky because I’m giving away one seat to The End of Boring and you could win it.

Even though a golden ticket to The End of Boring is worth jumping through several hoops, I’m making this super duper easy on you.

Here’s how you enter:

If you want to enter to win a spot inside this master class, all you need to do is comment below with the number one reason you want to join THE END OF BORING. What do you think it’ll do for you and your business?

Leave your comment before October 30th at 11am EST.

THE WINNER OF THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLARISSA! CONGRATS!

Mayi will be in touch soon to get you hooked up with The End of Boring! YAY!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter. I loved reading through all of your answers and getting to know you better.

I’m just at the stage of dedicating the time to taking my business to the next level (my youngest has now started nursery/kindergarten). A seat on Mayi’s class and the chance to learn from her would be wonderful.

I have a lot of fun, quirky interests and an international background but feel I sound boring in my blog posts, email updates, etc. I also care way too much what people think…. Would love a chance to learn how not to be boring!

I love Mayi…she is like “Rey Midas” every thing she touches becomes gold. The End of Boring is one of those things…and we need to eradicate the Boring in peoples’ lives. For me and my business it would be a fresh start point to change the mindset and do things different and apply my uniqueness as a brand strategy.

I’d love a chance to have a spot in Mayi’s program because I’m tired of comparing myself to everyone else and trying to put myself into an established niche or box of what the world thinks my business should look like. I struggle with my message, the lack of consistency in my brand image and feel like I’m all over the place. To be honest, I’ve put the whole thing on hold because I can’t seem to bring it all together which makes me sad. Truthfully, I really do think I have a few skills that would blend perfectly into a unique business…but I’m at a loss as to how to do that!! And that’s why I need Mayi’s help…and yours, too, April! I missed out last year on signing up for this class and have been kicking myself for it since. I’m not going to do that again, so win or not, I’ll be there!

In real life, I’m pretty funny, articulate, opinionated definitely my own brand of weird – online, I’m kind of boring and generic. I’d love to win a spot on Mayi’s programme because I am so scared to be myself online and in my business – and its really getting in the way of doing great things with great people.

Hi, I’m about to open my blog and I’m absolutely excited and super scared. I have been through so much in my life that at this point I feel I’m so many different things I have somehow lost myself. I hope this could help me in going back to the origin of who I really am. You two are amazing. Either way, good luck with the program and kick ass!

I would love to be part of “The End of Boring”. I have always dreamed of “making a living being me”. I am just taking my “business”, (that really barely a hobby), and trying to make it into a business!!

As a photographer, the most important thing is standing out in this world of “everyone is a photographer “, and phone pics… I would love to learn more about how to tap into who I am for that difference!!

I would love to join THE END OF BORING because I don’t want to spend the next chapter of my life afraid to show my true self to the world. As someone who just started a blog [with virtually no subscribers], learning how to end writing boring content will definitely help my business. Thank you for the opportunity!

Hi, i’m Clarissa and as Mayi I’m a tiny Brazilian girl with an enormous heart. I teach creative entrepreneurs in my country how to make a living selling handmade products.
In my personal life I’m full of strong opinions, creative ideas, I’m very sarcastic, have a clever sense of humor, I’ve painted my hair pink once, I love rock and classical music at the same time, and so on. I have many identities inside me, one for each moment but the truth is that I’m an introvert by nature and I end up saving all this treasure just for me and the closest one.
I really would like to be more bold and brave and bring my uniqueness to my work. I even try but it seems that I can not find an authentic way to bring my personality to my online business and I end up being flat and boring, which makes me sad because my brand does not reflect my entire me.
The word people most describe me? Cute. Bleh… I’m not just cute and I really believe that Mayi could help me with that. Thank you so much for the opportunity!! (sorry for any strange word or misspelling, I still stumble in English sometimes)

I love blogging and I love making my handmade products but the one area that I still struggle with is how to focus on one area and find the voice behind that to let my inner true personality shine through.
My illness Lyme disease stripped me of my humor and feeling like I was in reality.
It took 14 years of seeing numerous different holistic doctors to finally give back the feeling that I’m in touch with my surroundings and to actually be able to laugh again and see the humor in things.
I want to bring my sense of humor and my in touch with reality back to my business but I feel like I’m struggling to start all over again in life.
So this course would be the perfect jumping off point to help me find my true self and bring that humor back into my business.
Mayi sounds like the perfect way for me to do that.

I’d love to win a spot in the class because I’m in a flooded market, and I don’t know how to make myself stand out from the crowd.
I’m already strange and weird and wonderful (the hubs says so!) and I want to find my tribe 🙂
It would be a dream to finally be able to blog full time with an actual audience, and I think Thr End of Boring will help get me there!

Oh my Goddess, I am so over-ripe to reveal the wonders I have created over the last DECADE to the world, I get all hung up and tongue tied and head down to my garden to water when I just dont know how to move ahead, plus, I too am a tiny powerhouse with a big heart, but am a few decades older than you are. I am ready to show that women of a “certain age” can come out and share their wisdom with as much spark as younger beauties like you and April..

This sounds like such a wonderful opportunity to expand my horizons! I am an older entrepreneur, following my grandfather’s footsteps, who never worked for anyone other than himself. He had his own businesses as long as I can remember! He could do anything with his hands and I think that talent has been passed down to me, as I have been involved with nearly every kind of handcraft. I am embarking on a sewing teaching idea and have multiple certifications and licenses to teach well over 100 classes and courses. As a former administrative assistant, a.k.a. high school principal’s secretary, I have the desire to be a leader in the sewing industry as a teacher and a go-to sewing coach, both in person and online. Winning a spot in this training would certainly be a huge boost to my self-perceived lack of creativity. Thank you so much for this opportunity!

    Hi,
I have been following you and Mayi for a number of years now on your blogs~ gobbling up information that you so kindly produce but never really acting on it. After 8 years of starting and trying to be different and realising that I really have to be careful of how different I put myself out there. I would love some guidance.

I want to win a spot in the End of Boring class because I want to share my stories in a fun and engaging way in my blog about family travel. I’m an attorney in my “real life” and am afraid that I come across that way in my writing. But, traveling with family should be fun, not boring like attorneys! This sounds like just the thing I need to take the next step in my blogging adventure!

I am so out of the box, that I need this course to render my chaos coherently exciting. Editing can suck the air out of a good idea. Chaos, on the other hand, can be confusing. Confusing is boring in its own unique way. I need help. Right?!

I think I’m not a boring person, I’m funny, enthusiastic, passionate, talkative and clumsy. I’m a beekeeper, I collect teapots and boardgames, and I draw cute animals on my couch. And I love it ! 🙂
In fact, my french nickname is “Godiche” wich mean awkward girl (in a cute way 😉 ).
But i think you can’t see my originality in my small business, which is so sad ! Please help me bring glitter, cookies crumbs, clumsiness, smile, rainbow and fairy to my brand !

    Thanks for this opportunity 🙂

I have had a huge writing block for the last few months because I feel like there’s no personality to my writing.

I’d love to be able to add more fun and things I love to my blog posts, captions, and finally work up the courage to do videos for stories.

I want to add me to my business as I feel I have been lacking.

I would love to win a spot in The End of Boring. Why? Because as a business coach, I know I have something different and special to offer the world. My clients refer me to their friends and are attracted to my work because of my strategic + holistic perspective. So what’s the problem? I would love to be able to express my differences and have my marketing reflect my true personality. I’m tired of sounding generic… I know I offer a unique service, and I’m sure this course will help me practice expressing myself with more confidence. And of course, getting access to April’s bonus class will be awesome!
